Why commercial turf is different in the Treasure Valley
Commercial turf here fails in a specific pattern, and it is almost never the mowing. Entries and medians are narrow strips of turf surrounded by hot asphalt, planted in compacted clay that was driven over by construction equipment, and watered by a pressurised district system whose pressure drops when the district is busy. In a 95°F July that combination burns the most visible turf on the property first. Fixing it means aeration, soil building and irrigation coverage — not a shorter mowing interval.
How the process works
We walk the property with you, measure the actual turf areas, check irrigation coverage and soil condition, and identify the recurring problem spots. From that we scope the regular and seasonal work and come back with a written bid. Once the programme is running, the applications follow the same six-step calendar as our residential work, with seasonal items scheduled to the valley's timing rather than a national one. Pest control for commercial properties
Perimeter and yard treatments run on the same roughly 60-day in-season cycle as our residential work, with free re-service between visits. For properties with play areas, patios or outdoor seating, wasp nests and mosquitoes near irrigation are usually the two that generate complaints, and both are preventable on a schedule.

Why Diamond Lawns
Plenty of companies will mow a commercial property. Fewer can tell you why the entry turf thins every July. Because fertilization and pest control are our core business, the crew on site is looking at soil condition, billbug activity and irrigation coverage on every visit — which is where the recurring complaints on a commercial property almost always originate. Family-owned in Meridian since 2006.
Family-owned in Meridian since 2006, 4.7 out of 5 across 600+ Google reviews, and every quote comes from an on-site visit rather than a phone guess. Request a free estimate or call (208) 484-5568.
Frequently asked questions
Do you maintain HOA common areas?
Yes — common areas, entries, medians and subdivision landscaping across the Treasure Valley, on the same fertilization and weed-control schedule we run on residential lawns.
Can you handle several properties on one contract?
Yes. Multi-site portfolios can run on a single schedule and a single invoice.
Do you mow, or only fertilize?
Both. Commercial maintenance covers mowing, trimming and edging alongside fertilization, weed control and plant care, plus seasonal work like clean-ups, aeration and flower installation.
How do you bid commercial work?
From a walk-through. We measure the actual turf areas, check irrigation coverage and soil condition, and scope the seasonal work before quoting. Bidding a commercial property from an aerial image is how scope disputes start.
Why does the turf at our entrance die every summer?
Narrow turf strips next to hot asphalt, planted in compacted clay and watered by a zone that may be losing pressure, are the hardest turf on any valley property. It is usually a soil and irrigation problem rather than a feeding problem, and it is fixable — we will tell you which it is during the walk-through.
How much does commercial maintenance cost?
It depends on turf area, the scope of seasonal work and the number of sites. Call (208) 484-5568 for a walk-through and a written bid.
