Lawn Fertilization & Pest Control in Boise, ID

Full lawn fertilization and pest control programs across every Boise neighborhood.

Boise has the widest spread of lawn conditions anywhere in our service area. A North End lawn under eighty-year-old shade trees and a West Boise lawn in full afternoon sun are effectively two different growing environments, and they don't get the same program.

What makes Boise lawns different?

Shade is the variable that sets Boise apart. The North End and older Bench neighborhoods have mature tree canopy, which means less light, slower drying, and turf competing directly with tree roots for water and nutrients. Those lawns need lighter, more frequent feeding and honest expectations about what will grow under a dense canopy.

Newer West Boise and Southeast Boise developments have the opposite problem — full exposure, higher heat load, and irrigation that has to keep up through July and August. Those lawns burn out fast if the summer feedings push top growth the roots can't support.

Underneath both is the same alkaline valley soil, so iron chlorosis shows up across the city regardless of neighborhood.

Our Boise lawn fertilization program

Every Boise lawn we treat is on the same six-application schedule, timed to Idaho's growing season rather than a national calendar: early-spring feeding with pre-emergent crabgrass control, late-spring broadleaf weed control, two summer feedings sized to heat stress, the heavy early-fall feeding, and a late-fall winterizer before the ground freezes. Rates are adjusted to your soil and turf, not applied from a template. See the full program breakdown.

Pest control in Boise

Boise's older housing stock means more entry points. Ants and spiders find their way in through foundation cracks and around utility penetrations in homes that have settled over decades, and mature trees put wasp and hornet nests closer to patios and porches than most homeowners realize until someone gets stung.

Our perimeter treatments use family- and pet-safe products applied where pests actually travel and harbor, with free re-service between scheduled visits if something gets through. More on how pest control works.

Free Boise lawn assessment

We quote from an on-site visit, never over the phone from a square-footage guess. We walk the property, check soil and turf condition, look at sprinkler coverage, and identify what's actually limiting the lawn — then give you a per-application price with no obligation. Frequently asked questions

Can you get grass to grow under the big trees in the North End?

Partly, and we'll be straight with you about the limits. Dense mature canopy will never support the same turf density as an open lawn. We adjust feeding rates for low light, recommend shade-tolerant overseeding, and in the deepest shade we'll tell you when ground cover is a better answer than fighting for grass.

Do you treat lawns on the Bench?

Yes — the Bench is on our regular Boise routes, along with the North End, Southeast Boise, and West Boise.

My West Boise lawn browns out every July. Is that a watering problem?

Sometimes, but not always. Full-sun lawns here often brown out from a combination of heat stress, sprinkler coverage gaps, and billbug damage that looks identical to drought. The tug test tells them apart: billbug-damaged turf pulls out of the ground with almost no resistance.
