Eagle properties tend to be bigger, more heavily landscaped, and further along than the valley average — mature trees, established ornamental beds, and considerable investment already in the ground. That shifts the work: tree and shrub care is a much larger share of what we do in Eagle than anywhere else we serve.
What makes Eagle properties different?
Larger lots mean larger irrigated turf areas, and coverage problems scale with them. A sprinkler system that was adequate when the landscaping went in often can't keep up once mature trees are pulling significant water out of the same root zone the grass depends on.
Mature landscaping also concentrates value in the trees and shrubs rather than the turf. Established maples, birches, and ornamentals in alkaline Treasure Valley soil are prone to iron chlorosis — the same high-pH problem that pales lawns, but far more expensive when it takes down a thirty-year-old tree. Deep-root feeding puts nutrients below the turf layer where those roots actually are.
Our Eagle lawn fertilization program
Every Eagle lawn we treat is on the same six-application schedule, timed to Idaho's growing season rather than a national calendar: early-spring feeding with pre-emergent crabgrass control, late-spring broadleaf weed control, two summer feedings sized to heat stress, the heavy early-fall feeding, and a late-fall winterizer before the ground freezes. Rates are adjusted to your soil and turf, not applied from a template. See the full program breakdown.
Pest control in Eagle
Mature landscaping brings the insect pressure that comes with it — aphids and borers in established trees, wasps nesting in dense shrubs and outbuildings, and spiders throughout. On acreage properties, perimeter treatments cover considerably more linear footage than a standard subdivision lot.
Our perimeter treatments use family- and pet-safe products applied where pests actually travel and harbor, with free re-service between scheduled visits if something gets through. More on how pest control works.
Free Eagle lawn assessment
We quote from an on-site visit, never over the phone from a square-footage guess. We walk the property, check soil and turf condition, look at sprinkler coverage, and identify what's actually limiting the lawn — then give you a per-application price with no obligation. Frequently asked questions
My mature trees have yellowing leaves with green veins. What is that?
Iron chlorosis — the tree equivalent of what happens to lawns here. Our alkaline soil prevents root uptake of iron even when iron is present. Deep-root feeding delivers nutrients below the turf layer directly into the tree's root zone, which surface applications never reach.
Do you handle both the lawn and the trees on the same property?
Yes, and on larger Eagle properties that's usually the right approach — turf and trees compete for the same water and nutrients, so treating them as one system works better than treating them separately.
Can you service acreage properties?
Yes. We quote larger properties from an on-site walk rather than a flat rate, because irrigated turf area and the amount of perimeter to treat vary enormously on Eagle acreage.
